Maine Forest Service Foresters Institute workshop is intended for both foresters & landowners.

8:30-11:00 TallTimber 3.5 -  Forest inventory software developed and used by Todd Caldwell for more than a decade in the eastern and central US. Collect inventory with mobile or paper tally. TallTimber processes timber cruise data into professional, flexible inventory reports and spreadsheet ready tables for both simple and stratified sampling, with granular information down to the individual tree. Simplifies growth modeling with the US Forest Service's FVS model and creates growth reports calibrated to your inventory. Todd and Hunter Manley will step through TallTimber with the fictitious Deer Lake dataset for direct discussion from A to Z.

11:00-12:00 Timberpad 2.0- Data collection software currently available for Apple, Android and vintage Windows Mobile devices. Timberpad provides functionality helpful to both individual and larger team cruise projects, exporting  data ready for direct import into TallTimber input or Excel. We will demonstrate Timberpad and functions such as ghost messaging and team sharing of product specs.

Bring your iPad, iPhone, or Android tablet or phone for demo installation. Also, devices will be passed around during the workshop for direct contact and experimentation. Video  previews are available

and on the ttimber YouTube channel playlist (ttimber.com/support/).  Both TallTimber and Timberpad are available for download in free demo, and will be available for help with installation on devices from 12 to 1 pm or at any time by contacting support@ttimber.com .
