Description: The Stottler property memorializes Gary Stottler’s mother Alice, someone who loved the land. It is located east of the town of Athens on Hartford Rd. (Rt. 151/43 E).
Key Features: Alice’s favorite small grove of expansive sugar maples are protected, while the nearby pines will be nurtured well into the future. Part of this parcel had been used as a landscape stock plantation. And so like stonewalls and cellar holes, we inherit the legacy of our forebears’ ways and needs.
